Who are the gurus?
The guru strategies on our site are based on current and past gurus who have proven track records and, often, have truly outperformed the market over the years. They are: Warren Buffett, Peter Lynch, William O'Neil, James P. O'Shaughnessy, John Piotroski and Martin Zweig. The strategies are based on our best interpretation of the published writings of theses gurus and are not endorsed by them in any way.
How do you interpret the strategies of these gurus?
We have chosen six well known investors whose abilities to pick stock are undisputable. We had read what they themselves have written about their stock picking strategies and how they analyze potential stocks. Usage of these strategies and stock picking approaches are not endorsed or otherwise authorized by any of the mentioned gurus. We interpret books and articles, and other materials on these investors, identify the approaches we believe they would use, interpret their strategies and consider the various criteria based on what we think is the weight the guru gives to each stock picking criteria. We believe that we provide peaty close interpretation of how these gurus would pick stocks themselves.
How do I apply the strategies?
If you want to we provide for the members all the basic information and additional information to educate yourselves if you chose to. But You don't have to do that. That’s way we are here. We pick the stock and analyze the criteria for you.
Why Follow Cool Stock Picks?
The gurus have strategies which have been tested and used by investors for years, even decades. Off course you can read all the published material on the featured Gurus, try to develop your own stock screens and analysis criteria to pick stock like the pros do it, but do you have the time to do that? We had done all that work already and are fine toning our interpretations and approaches by day. Applying these strategies had worked for us in the past quite well and is working very well right now.
